OUR BEERS
A FLAVOR OF IVERAGH
To start with, McGill’s Brewery is producing three different product lines. These include a traditional Irish Stout, a traditional Irish Red Ale, and an Irish Blonde beer. As the brewery expands, more product lines will be added. For instance seasonal beers like Summer Ale or a Christmas Porter and a non-alcohol beer are all in the works. We also invite your suggestions as to what you think we should be producing. Due to the versatility of our brewery we can react quickly to what you want and bring unique quality beer to the market quickly. Each beer bottle is 500ml and has its own unique personality and is reflective of the history and folklore in the area. We use just four main ingredients; water, malts, hops and yeast to produce the highest quality Irish beers.
CRAFT BEERS HAVE NEVER TASTED SO GOOD
Each beer is unique to the area of South Kerry. They reflect our local heroes, culture, and history. In our small brewery we handcraft our beers with care perfecting traditional Irish beer styles using our state of the art brewery system. We hope you enjoy tasting our beers as much as we do producing them. ‘Sláinte agus fad saol agat’ (Health and long life to you).

WHAT GOES INTO OUR BEERS?
- Water: H2O accounts for up to 90 percent of beer’s content. Our crystal clear water’s source comes from high in the mountains of Iveragh. The quality of the water in the area ensures our beers tastes great.
• Grain: Our grain is sourced from one of the top malting companies in the country giving our beers styles their unique fresh flavor. Our malt comes from The Malting Company of Ireland which has been producing the highest quality malted grains since 1858.
• Hops: We use a wide variety of hops in our beer to influence the flavor and aroma of the beers we produce.
•Yeast: We take great care with our yeast which is fundamental in the fermentation process, its core purpose in beer is to make alcohol whilst also enhancing the flavour.
